This policy explains what information Color Bar (the “App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects when you use it, how we use that information, and the choices you have.
Color Bar is a free puzzle game with no ads and no tracking. It offers an optional “tip jar” — small in-app purchases to support development — but nothing in the game is paywalled. Apart from optional Game Center, the vast majority of your gameplay never leaves your device. There are no user accounts and no backend of our own.
Color Bar is published by Muhammad Shariq Aziz (“the developer”). If you have any questions about this policy or want to exercise any of your rights below, you can contact us at shariqazz15@gmail.com.
The following data stays on your iPhone or iPad and is never transmitted to us or to any third party:
We store this information using iOS’s standard local-storage mechanisms (SwiftData, UserDefaults). It is included in your encrypted iCloud or iTunes device backups if you have those enabled — that backup is controlled by Apple and your iCloud account, not by us.
If you sign in to Apple’s Game Center service (it prompts on first launch — you can decline or sign in later from iOS Settings), the App will:
Game Center is operated by Apple Inc. Their handling of your data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. We never see your real name, email address, or Apple ID — only your in-game player ID and scores. You can disable Game Center entirely from iOS Settings → Game Center.
Color Bar offers a few optional tip purchases (a small, medium, and large tip) to support development. These are entirely optional — the whole game is free without them. Apple processes any tip through StoreKit; we receive only a confirmation that a purchase completed and record a local “supporter” flag to show a thank-you. We never see your name, card, or payment details. Tips unlock no content — they’re purely a thank-you.
The information described above is used only to:
We do not sell, rent, share, or trade your personal information for any purpose. We do not build advertising profiles about you. We do not combine the information described above with data from other sources.
Color Bar is rated for ages 4+ and is designed to be family-friendly. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. The App has no advertising SDK, no tracking, no chat, and no public user-content sharing, so the data-collection surface accessible to children is effectively limited to optional Game Center participation (which Apple gates with its own parental controls) and the optional in-app tip (which Apple gates with Ask-to-Buy / parental purchase controls).
If you believe a child has used the App and provided personal information without parental consent, please contact us at the email above so we can address it.
Apple’s Game Center is a global service. Information sent to it may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. Apple maintains its own legal bases for these transfers (Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, etc.); see Apple’s privacy policy linked above.
The App uses standard iOS protections — encrypted local storage, sandboxed app container, signed transactions via StoreKit (for the optional tips), and HTTPS-only network requests (only for Game Center). We cannot guarantee absolute security of any information transmitted over the internet, but we follow industry-standard practices.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under privacy laws like the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA), or similar legislation. These can include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and the right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” of personal information.
Because the information we directly handle stays on your device, you can exercise most of these rights yourself: deleting the App removes all on-device data. For information held by Apple (Game Center), exercise those rights through Apple’s channels at https://privacy.apple.com.
If you need help or have questions about your rights, contact us at the email above.
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, when iOS adds a new privacy feature or our monetization changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any change. Material changes will be highlighted within the App itself (typically via a one-time prompt) before they take effect.
